Conference Information
Welcome
The annual Topology Optimization Roundtable was initiated by Sandia National Laboratories in 2016 to bring together researchers and practicing engineers working in the area of topology optimization. In the past, the event has featured a series of lectures on the latest technologies, led to lively discussions on how to advance the field, and helped form lasting partnerships and collaborations. Topics of discussion have ranged from technical advances in core formulations and algorithms, needs of the end-user, and the connection with additive manufacturing.
The 2019 Topology Optimization Roundtable is sponsored by the United States Association for Computational Mechanics (USACM) thematic conference series as part of the Technical Thrust Area (TTA) on Large Scale Structural Systems and Optimal Design. In addition to the lectures and lively discussion, the 2019 meeting will feature new events including a student poster competition, PLATO training course, and challenge problem competition.
