Research Interests

Computational Homogenization
Investigating the influence of microscale features on the macroscale response of soft composite materials.
Fracture
Developing tools and techniques for solving the failure processes in soft and brittle materials with nonhomogeneous microstructures.
Fragmentation
Studying the influence of geometric features and constitutive design on the pervasive fragmentation of brittle materials.
Meshing
Developing comprehensive meshing strategies for the analysis of dynamic fracture problems which demonstrate micro- and macro-branching.
