The NSF's
Americas Program (AMERICAS) aims to enhance the scientific,
engineering and educational cooperation between U.S. institutions
and researchers in Canada, Mexico and Central and South America.
The objective of the
workshop is to motivate and strengthen international scientific
cooperation between researchers from Brazil and United States,
and to promote both short-term and long-term technical collaborations.
This Workshop involves exchange of scientific information amongst
the participants aiming to identify and prioritize research needs.
